1. Be ready to play when you arrive at the first tee. (Not the time to put on your shoes, mark your ball, get out your tees, ball marker, etc.)
2. Be out of the cart and ready to tee off when it’s your turn.
If you are last to tee off IN YOUR GROUP, get in the cart and hold your club(s) until your next stop. This principle applies to all shots, even the green.
3. Park between the two balls when possible. This is not a scenic drive today.
4. Measure your shot close to the cart and get your club. Practice swings are not to warm up, that was done on the range. No need to rush your swing.
5. Tag team the cart when reasonable. Golf was originally a walking game.
6. Park by the parking post (short and white with green top)
7. Save your “high fives” until you clear the green. You may be holding up those behind you.
8. Record your scores, NO!
9. Record your scores on the next tee box, when you may be waiting anyway.
10. On the green, try to be ready when it is your turn. Farthest from the hole putts first, even if you are on and your opponent is off.
12. The goal is to be able to see the group in front of you and keep up or catch up. The group behind you is of little consequence.
13. Finally, after you finish the 18th hole, do NOT stand on the green and congratulate each other. This is where the group behind you is of consequence, because they are ready to hit. Determine where you will all discuss any differences and sign each other’s card. The team with the most points gets an extra point for winning the match. Scorecards should be returned immediately to the scoring table. DO NOT LEAVE THE SCORING AREA UNTIL THEY TELL YOU YOUR CARD IS OK.
